The weather is very warm. We have two hours of drill in the forenoon. In the afternoon the whole company walked out to Cliff House to partake in a good saltwater bath and see the sights of the beautiful shore. We also have rifle practice. I made 38 out of 50, the sixth best shot; however, [Homer] Daugherty made the best shot with a 42. During this practice, Private George Conn was hit on the head, but not very seriously. He was taken to the regimental hospital.
