This is another fine "hot" day Co C is on Guard at the prison we have regular Guard mount and a strickt Inspection by Major Cuthbertson who has a great desire to call the Co down ones a while but atmitted it to be verry good Christopher Hanan Baird Kennedy Miller Twist Daugherty Sparks and Cuite are on the Sick List

This is another fine, hot day. Company C is on guard at the prison. We have regular guard mount and a strict inspection by Major [Harry] Cuthbertson who has a great desire to call the company down once in a while but admitted [the inspection] was very good. [Frank] Christopher, [Max] Hanan, [James] Baird, [William] Kennedy, [George] Miller, [David] Twist, [Homer] Daugherty, [Ray] Sparks and [Gilbert] Cuite are on the sick list.
