Weather is fine we goe through regular drills Morning and Evening 7 men are on Guard and 15 on Outpost things are verry quiet in general Lt Howard and Woods remain still sick and we also have 7 men in Quarters unfit for duty

 

The weather is fine. We go through the regular drills in the morning and evening. Seven men are on guard [duty] and fifteen on outpost. Things are very quiet in general. Lieutenants [Charles] Howard and Robert [Wood] are still sick. We also have seven men in quarters unfit for duty.
