The weather is awfully hot. Everything is quiet on the line. The boys are taking things easy and small parties are going out into the woods scouting. Thousands of rounds of ammunition were found. The water is getting scarce here and each train brings us some distilled water from the city. We are really enjoying camp life now and hope out fighting will soon come to an end. There are only about 50 in Company C fit for duty.
