The weather is lovely. There isn't much change on our voyage. Our grub is pretty fair but we don't get quite enough. In the afternoon we received the remains of the Colonel who had been embalmed in the forenoon and laid in a nice casket. Our flag is floating at half mast for three days and a guard of honor, consisting of one sergeant, one corporal and three privates is placed over him. The casket is placed on the hurricane deck.
