have 6 of our Men captured but we cant locate none of them one of them is Private Culom who acted as Spie and crossed the Line on Horseback he is Major Bierer Orderly up until Taps he hasnt returned the men at the Hospital are doing well our 5 men in Quarters are about the same

the Weather is fine and the churchbells are ringing sweetly most of the Boys are sending Mail or
getting it readdy some attend churches we have no Service as our chaplain is away on Furlough we have 7 men on Guard and 11 on Outpost in the afternon I was out driving with my german Friend and ate Souper at 8 at the finest Hotel in Manila wich I enjoyed verry much (10 Courses where served) our Men have not returned yet and no doubt are held Prisoner the Same Number of Sick remain on the List
