to day and also Inspection paper I signed my not in good Health Rheumatism and Bladder disease we spent most of the day in resting up and writing to Home Friends

The Weather is lovely we have no drill of any Kind only Guard duty I was on Guard all day and didnt attend the Funeral of our Colonel wich took place at 2 p.m. in Masonic Temple the Funeral was large and was
by some 3000 Soldier and about 1000 Mason in Parade it was send to his late Home acompanied by chaplan Hunter and also by H Co wich escorted the Remains across the Bay to Oakland

To day I went to Sausalito with M. Johnson & Joe Richway and Mr & Mrs Shoult of Frisco to visit Mrs Gallagher we had a splendid Time we returned in Camp at 10 clock the Night was real cold
