The Weather is lovely we have no drill of any Kind only Guard duty I was on Guard all day and didnt attend the Funeral of our Colonel wich took place at 2 p.m. in Masonic Temple the Funeral was large and was |
by some 3000 Soldier and about 1000 Mason in Parade it was send to his late Home acompanied by chaplan Hunter and also by H Co wich escorted the Remains across the Bay to Oakland
To day I went to Sausalito with M. Johnson & Joe Richway and Mr & Mrs Shoult of Frisco to visit Mrs Gallagher we had a splendid Time we returned in Camp at 10 clock the Night was real cold |
