the Weather is fine and the churchbells are ringing sweetly most of the Boys are sending Mail or getting it readdy some attend churches we have no Service as our chaplain is away on Furlough we have 7 men on Guard and 11 on Outpost in the afternon I was out driving with my german Friend and ate Souper at 8 at the finest Hotel in Manila wich I enjoyed verry much (10 Courses where served) our Men have not returned yet and no doubt are held Prisoner the Same Number of Sick remain on the List

The weather is fine and the church bells are ringing sweetly. Most of the boys are sending mail or getting it ready. Some attend churches. We have no service as our chaplain is away on furlough. We have seven men on guard and eleven on outpost. In the afternoon I was out driving with my German friend and ate supper at 8:00 at the finest hotel in Manila which I enjoyed very much (ten courses were served). Our men have not returned yet and no doubt are held prisoner. The same number of sick remain on the list.
