Sunday July 16/99
The Weather is lovely at 9 o Clock we raised Anker and sailed going in out we past the Boston and gave 3 good cheers wich where eagerly returned just one year ago this day she meet us out on Manila Bay we have 3 Nebraska Boys and one Utah Boy with us all theese got left on the Hancock the Sea is verry rough towards Night the Colonel is verry poorly the Boys are quiet well

 

The weather is lovely. At 9 o'clock we raised anchor and sailed. Going out we passed the Boston and gave three good cheers which were eagerly returned. Just one year ago this day she met us out on Manila Bay. We have three Nebraska boys and one Utah boy with us. All these got left from the Hancock. The sea is very rough towards night. The Colonel is very poorly. The boys are quite well.
