Friday July 7/99
The Weathr is fine we had a good Night sleep and had shore leave from 9 am to 7 pm we surely enjoyed our Stay at Nagasaky wich is a niece clean City everything is up to date I went to sea all there was to be seen every thing is rather cheap there our Mony is allmost worth double Horses are a Curiosity here the Japanese is of strong build good natured and verry industrous fellow also the female sex
Saturday July 8/99
the Night has been verry rough and all the canvas had to be taken down we are still loading coal in the Morning also Ice and Meat we all have Shore leave

Sunday July 9/99
it has raigned all Night and all day but we all have Shore leave and having a good time the Sea is verry rough Meat wich was put on Thursday is taken of again on account being spoiled therfor we cant leave we have Service in the Evening
